Vienna Programs

 

Whether you are a lover of art and culture, or you like discovering secret little

nooks far from the main street, or you are simply a tourist looking for some

shopping, Vienna is definitely the right city for you and will never let you down.

As the saying goes, ‘regardless of time of the year, it’s always a busy season

in Vienna’. Well, it’s true. The city keeps attracting tourists and visitors

throughout the year.

We would like to offer you a number of alternatives that may help you decide

how you wish to spend your time in Vienna. Whether or not you accept one

of these programmes, or pick-and-choose’ anything that suits you best, we

will be delighted to organise the trip for you.

The programmes are considered as whole-day tours.

 

Programme 1

The Ring – the place of major 19th century buildings: Parliament, City Hall,

Bourse, Votivkirche, etc.

Hundertwasserhaus – designed by a well-known contemporary artist, professor

of arts, who made his dream come true by building the world's only ecological

house of that time.

Schönbrunn – a former summer residence of the Habsburgs, including

an excursion to the residence, a walk in the park and a stop at the well-known

cafe, where you can try an apple strudel, or the traditional Melange coffee.

Leopoldsberg, Kalenberg, where you can experience a breath-taking panoramic

view of the city and the Danube. Grinzing – a district of Vienna proud of its wine

cellars, young wine, traditional meal and Viennese music – a mix that blends

into a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.

 

Programme 2

The Belvedere is one of the most notable palaces in the world. It is the former

residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy.

Schönbrunn – a former summer residence of the Habsburgs, including

an excursion to the residence, a walk in the park and a stop at the well-known

cafe, where you can try an apple strudel, or the traditional Melange coffee.

Excursion to the Viennese forest, visit to the gothic monastery of the Holy Cross

dating to 13th century, and a mausoleum of the Babenbergs, the ruling family of

the medieval Austria. Tasting the Mass wine produced by monks, excursion to

the town of Meyerling, where Crown Prince Rudolph and his beloved mistress

committed suicide in 1889.  Excursion to Baden – a noted Austrian thermal

spa-resort and winery centre. Evening at a typical Viennese restaurant.

Historic centre round-trip: Hofburg – winter residence of the Habsburg Dynasty,

Graben, Figaro Haus, an inside visit to the St. Stephen’s Cathedral, a visit to

the Opera House including the Opera museum.

The famous cafe Sacher is located just behind the Opera – a very nice place

where you can taste the traditional Viennese ‘Sacher Torte’.

Visit to the museums, or shopping. Shopping in Vienna is a great opportunity

to take a walk through the old town streets and just watch the show-windows.
